Who Dat fans and the city of New Orleans know that there are no bad seats in the Mercedes Benz Super Dome. When you come to a sporting event at the Dome, it feels like you are close to the action due to the unique design that the stadium architects used for the venue. While all the seats offer a good view of the action, there are a couple of areas that are even better than most.

The best seats in the house are obviously at the 50 yard line for any Saints game or if you are lucky enough to grab a ticket, for the NFL’s Superbowl. Seats at midfield offer fans a view of the action in every direction. It is the perfect place to watch Drew Brees hook up with Jimmy Graham and the rest of his high-flying weapons.

Another great spot to take in the action is from the corporate suites that surround the lower level bowls in the Super Dome. While these tickets are hard to come by, they offer fans a full gourmet spread with amazing field views below. There is nothing better than Saints football with some jambalaya from a Super Dome suite!

Every new NFL season provides a fresh opportunity for players to top the season-best numbers of players past. Recently it was Drew Brees setting not just team records, but NFL records as well. Brees had a remarkable 2011 campaign, tallying 5,476 passing yards on 468 pass completions – both NFL single-season records.

Who will it be this year? What is the next Saints record to be broken?

It is unlikely that a season like Drew’s 2011 campaign will strike again any time soon. It took a couple of decades to break Dan Marino’s previous marks. A decline in the likelihood of a record-breaking passing season will also result in the reduced likelihood that anyone will approach Jimmy Graham’s records for number of receptions in a single season (99), or his mark for receiving touchdowns (11). There are simply too many receiving threats on this team that want the ball thrown to them, and no single player is going to take the spotlight.

Process of elimination leads us to rushing records. It is doubtful that any single player in the Saints’ talented backfield will get close to the 1,674-yard mark set by George Rogers in 1981, nor his record of 378 attempts that same year. However, it is very possible for one of the backs to reach the 13 touchdown mark set by three past Saints players.

If any record falls this year, single-season rushing touchdowns is the most likely candidate.

Nothing gets a Saints fan ready for a game like hearing their favorite theme songs! The New Orleans Saints have new theme songs as well as the traditional ones that die-hard fans know and love. The most famous of the Saints theme songs is “Who Dat?!”. This particular theme song is the one that gets the players and fans pumped up-whether they are tailgating, coming onto the field at the start of a game or scoring a touchdown. Because this theme song is so popular, the term “Who Dat” has become highly associated with the Saints and has become the source of many different types of Saints’ sports memorabilia. The most traditional Saints theme song that is the epitome of their New Orleans roots is the jazzy “When the Saints Go Marching In”. Initially turned into a jazzy mantra by New Orleans’ own Louis Armstrong in the 1930s, this song has been around for decades. It was even incorporated with the “Who Dat” song by Aaron Neville, Sal and Steve Monistere, Carlo Nuccio, and a group of Saints football players in 1983! So whatever your preference may be, play your favorite theme song and get ready for some Saints football!

Although they lost their season opener to the Packers, there-s no need to despair about the Saints. The Packers are one of the NFL-s elite teams, and the Saints nearly scored a last second touchdown with the potential to tie the game. If New Orleans can compete with Green Bay on that level, they’ll book another trip into the playoffs.

Playing in the NFC South entails facing two playoff contenders in the Falcons and Buccaneers. That means conference victories are a top priority for New Orleans. Drew Brees returns with a potent passing attack, and has underrated receivers like Marques Colston to snag the ball. Beefing up the ground game are 1st round pick Mark Ingram and free-agent Darren Sproles, who could become a game breaker on special teams.

New Orleans should rack up double digit wins with a schedule that includes playing the Jaguars, Colts, and Panthers twice. The Saints have an aggressive defense, but the corners are vulnerable against premiere quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers. It-s likely the team-s chances of reaching the Super Bowl will rest on the arm of Drew Brees. That being the case, there-s no reason why New Orleans can-t make it back to the big game.

For the first time in the franchises forty three year history the New Orleans Saints won the Superbowl with a 31-17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts. This game was full of highlights for the New Orleans Saints and their first ever Superbowl championship. The MVP was Drew Brees who proved that he is one of the sports best quarterbacks after going head to head with Peyton Manning during the championship game. Brees tied a Superbowl record held by Tom Brady for the most completions in a Superbowl game with thirty two of them. Another pivotal point in the game was when Jeremy Shockey got his touchdown and followed it by a two point conversion that was among one of the best decisions Sean Payton, the Saints coach, made during the game. The most memorable highlight from this game came with only three minutes and twenty four seconds left in the fourth quarter. Tracy Porter intercepted a ball thrown by Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and ran it seventy four yards down the field to score a touchdown with only minutes remaining in the game giving the Saints a fourteen point lead and ultimately the victory and their first ever Superbowl win.

Brennan’s – If you’ve never had turtle soup you don’t know what you’re missing and this is one of the only places in the country you can get it. Emeril’s – The famous chef got his start here in Nawlins and his restaurants are all over town. Hit one up for some roasted duck or some ettoufe.
Mother’s – If it’s breakfast or lunch you’re looking for, Mother’s is the place to be. Katrina closed it for a while but it’s open now and in its full glorybiscuits and gravy have never been better than in the Crescent City.
Sure beats stadium food, now doesn’t it? Go Saints!

The New Orleans Saints turned a page two seasons ago when after years of futility, they finally won the coveted Super Bowl title fans have clamored for since the inception of the franchise.

At the helm was an unassuming coach who changed the entire dynamic of the franchise. Upon his arrival, Sean Payton immediately fit in as both a dynamic leader of the team and a pillar of the community.

Sean Payton and his family love to support the local community. He has been quoted as saying one of his favorite things to do is have “family night” at local restaurants.I was looking for more information and found it here. In addition, Coach Payton has stated he enjoys the Audubon Zoo and the Aquarium of the Americas.

Coach Payton’s arrival marked a new chapter in both the Saints, and the city of New Orleans’ history. Just one year after the devastation of Katrina, Coach Payton turned the franchise around and embraced the culture of this historic city.

Whereas you may not find this family man at Pat O’Briens sampling hurricanes, you will find the Coach shopping at one of his favorites, the Riverwalk. He’s also been known to enjoy a beignet or two at the Cafe Du Monde. But then again, who doesn’t?

One of the most exciting and popular teams in the NFL continues to be the New Orleans Saints. The Saints, who are loaded with many star players, continue to be one of the better drafting teams in the NFL which allows them to find star players in the lower rounds.

One of the best hidden gems that the Saints have ever drafted is their current number 1 wide receiver Marques Colston. Due to the fact that he went to a small school, Colston was not a highly sought after player entering in the 2006 draft. Colston fell all the way to the 7th round where he was selected 252 overall. Since coming into the league Colston has been one of the top wide receivers in the league and has accumulated over 1,000 yards receiving four times.

Another hidden gem found by the Saints was kicker Morten Andersen. While kickers are not commonly considered good draft picks the Saints made a wise addition by taking Andersen in the fourth round. Throughout his career Andersen was considered the top kicker in the league. Andersen holds several NFL kicking records and was named to 7 Pro Bowl teams during his 26 year NFL career.

Finding the best fan shops for fan gear is really dependant on the type of gear you are looking to buy, the sports you are looking for fan gear for, and where you want to shop for fan gear. There are fan shops in malls, online, in sports stadiums (arenas), and through your favorite sports teams websites. When deciding on a fan shop, you have to consider what you are looking to buy, and how much money you want to spend.

The best fan shops in my opinion are online fan shops. There are many wholesalers who have shops on online retailers through sites like amazon and ebay, where they sell items in bulk, or in single pieces, but are much cheaper than fan stores in malls. Depending on the fan gear you want to buy, the online shops are the best option. The fan page sites, through the sports teams sites themselves typically sell more gear and they sell gear that you can’t find at other locations. Also the team pages also offer free shipping on orders (typically over 75), so many fans like shopping from the team sites. It really depends on what you are looking for, and how much you are looking to spend.

New Orleans Saints Running Back Reggie Bush is expected to be released by the team when the current NFL lockout ends. Many in the Big Easy question whether Coach Peyton and the Saints organization would bring Bush back for a reduced rate. Currently, Bush is due 11.8 million for the 2011 campaign.

By releasing Bush, the Saints will save 12.5 million, which could be used to help shore up an aging defense. Bush believes that he is an elite back and deserves to get paid franchise money. The Saints don’t appear to agree with his assessment, instead filling their backfield with draft picks and younger players.

It appears that Bush will be released and hit the open market. He may find a new home, most likely away from New Orleans. Teams such as St. Louis and Cleveland have been mentioned as potential landing spots for Bush.

Bush has not been the game changer that the Saints pictured when he was drafted from the University of Southern California. Bush won the Heisman Trophy during his time at USC. The trophy has since been taken away from him for violating NCAA rules, though Bush has yet to return the actual Heisman hardware.
